Some great pictures -- get some coffee this is a long post!

Hello Stampers!
****
Grab some coffee get comfy, there are some great things to share with you all today! **
These first two pictures are of the pin cushion I made using the Stampin up top note die.
**
How to: Take two pieces of coordinating fabric and trim to fit the die. Iron them. Place them right side together with the wrong side of the fabric facing out. Run through the machine and cut out.
**
Sew along the sides of the material leaving a small opening for turning and stuffing. Turn right sides out and stuff with filler of your choice. Not bad for a first try!
****
As many of you know, I recently celebrated my 45th birthday! Here are just a FEW pictures of all the goodies and some of the cards I was graciously gifted!
I have enjoyed my birthday month very much!
**
Now a picture of my Shoe Box swap for the Ft. Meade, Maryland swap on January 9, 2010.
Isn't this little Valentine treat box adorable. I used my new sizix die "Bag, with handles" to cut this one out, then I used one of the brand new Cuttlebug embossing folders (I know it doesn't show in person, but in real life the texture of this heavy card stock is rich with beautiful free floating flowers.
***
I used both copic markers and water color pencils to color the image. There will also be one or two other images for the Shoe Box swappers to choose from for their project. I am also going to include glitter glue to add sparkle and interest to the project. ***
Today also marks the start of blog candy, it will run from today, December 31, 2009 until Jan 20, 2010. You may leave comments any where on my blog for a chance to win. First candy is a pin cushion (your color choice) like seen above. There will be stamps, surprise and fun to be had by all!
**** Stamp Happy and have a Great New Year!

Hey my stamping friends;
** Pictures from top to bottom, the first two photos are of the project I have been working on for an upcoming shoe box swap on Ft. Meade. They are mini milk cartons and the die is from Stamp in Up, so if you would like the die, please email me so I can get you in contact with my demonstrator, Marisol. ** Marisol is just fantastic. She was my little sister many Devinne secret sister rounds ago, We have stayed friends now for over two years and she is precious with two little ones.
**
The other pictures are of my home in Maryland. These where taken just after we where hammered with over 21" of snow. It was beautiful. Here is a laugh for you, I went to walk across the street to visit some friends who where also shoveling and forgot about the steep apron of the driveway and kinda slipped into the hole. All the neighbors (mostly men) had quiet a laugh as Mike gently scooped me up back onto the even ground. Not my most graceful moment I assure you.
**
On another note, we enjoyed a very quiet Christmas. Craig has new orders to report to Andrews by January 23, 2010 but should be home some time next week. He still has to take that Physical Fitness test so he can be cleared to come here. He is feeling much better as time and medication have kicked in.
**
I have joined a new blog group called glitter bees you can view the thread on Splitcoast by clicking here. So far we have twelve members of our group.
**
Our family still has the Christmas tree and most of the decorations up from the Holiday season, we will generally take the tree and decorations down and put them away before Jan 2, which happens to be my hubby's birthday.

Stamp Happy and be safe and well!

A gift for my senior angel

I know, not the best scan in the world. My senior Ms. Vivian will be receiving this fun checkbook cover I made for her yesterday. She loves shades of blue and coffee is one of her favorite beverages.
***
I figure I'll take the time and buy a starbucks gift card and include it in the package.
***
We finally got partially plowed, but the yard is and roads are a snowy mess.
** I'll post more tomorrow, need to catch up from not feeling well over the weekend. ** Stamp Happy, be safe and warm!

Beautiful snow!

Hi everyone!
**
Unfortunately I've been under the weather. I had a terrible viral infection that left me sick to my stomach and hardly able to just get up and move about. Mike (pictured above with a snow shovel) took great care of me. We even moved our coffee table and made up the sofa hide-a-bed so I could just lounge on the coach.
***
Today Chad and Mike are both out shoveling, we received about 21" of snow all together with a call for more snow in the forecast this week. The last day of school before the winter break is supposed to be December 23 (Wednesday). However, I think it is most likely that there will not be any school until Janurary. I guess we'll have to just watch the weather channel and see.
**
No, for those who do ask me, Craig is not home. Shortly after graduating the Airforce in their grandure (rolling eyes) lost his last Physical Endurance test score and Craig wanted to take it then and their and fly home, they wouldn't let hime. Then a couple of days later, he finds him self in the sick bay with double ear infections and a sinus infection, I assure you no airline would have allowed him to fly. Thank goodness as of this morning the antibiotics are working and he feels well. He and some friends plan to go see a move this afternoon.
****
I hope you are all warm and dry and with power and all the things that make you happy. As for me, I plan to stamp drink hot coco and start to feel human again! Stamp Happy and be safe where ever you are!

Christmas tags!

Last Wednesday I stamped with some local ladies and our host, Tracy had kits for us to make four of each tag (pictured above). I loved all of them. Each was easy to make and very cute!
***
She had the most wonderful spread of food and a hot cider like beverage (I'm gonna kill the spelling of this one, so please forgive me) Wassil. It was delicious. It couldn't have been a better time, since our family was without power five hours that night.
****
Blog candy will be drawn sometime tomorrow or Wednesday. Craig is supposed to come home in the next few days so we are waiting to hear from him. ***
Take care and have a great Monday!

I have been working on Birthday Random act of kindness cards for Splitcoast stampers. I love doing these each month. This month is no exception. I chose to go with a muted soft color theme to remind us of the warmer days of spring and summer. ** It has been snowing here steadily since about 10:00 we are expecting 3" to 4" of snow overnight. It is so beautiful. The flakes are big and fluffy. I think it is now time for some hot chocolate and an afternoon watching "Its a wonderful life" a holiday tradition in our home.
**
Great news, Craig graduated technical school with the Air Force right on time, December 3, 2009. He was a bit surprised by how this graduation worked. He literally took his final test, the instructor handed him his certificate and told him "good luck". He is excited as are we. He received his orders on Friday and is heading back home to Andrews AFB. The even better news is he will most likely join me for my birthday celebration on the 15th.
